About Susie Bambridge, Interior Designer
I’m Susie Bambridge, the founder and owner of Utopia Mix Interiors based in Saddleworth, Manchester.
I have a longstanding fascination with architecture, design, and colour. From this fascination, I slowly cultivated my talent for interior design.
I started small by making changes to my home, creating custom accessories, and upcycling furniture. Now I offer an at-home interior design consultation service.
In 2001, I purchased a retail business with a large home section. This fuelled my passion for interior design and gave me a platform to develop my skills and creativity further.
Merchandising and display curation gave me the opportunity to experiment with different design styles and hone my creativity. Furthermore, my interactions with customers sharpened my ability to gauge their likes and dislikes, an invaluable skill I use during my interior design consultations today.
In 2018, I sold my retail business and set up Utopia Mix Interiors. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of helping hundreds of people achieve their interior design aspirations. In that time, I’ve worked in all manner of styles and spaces, including homes, extensions, new builds, and AirBnBs.
Light and colour are my specialities; I know how to use them to give a space the desired character and atmosphere. I am also an adept spatial planner and enjoy making the most out of small and large spaces alike. As for furniture, I love to highlight upcycling opportunities where possible.
I take the time and consideration to understand your specific requirements and create a bespoke action plan. My imaginative yet practical design service offers clarity in the face of overwhelming choice and helps you avoid expensive mistakes.
